Minutes of General meeting held on 7th September 2024
at New Lynn Friendship club hall,
3063 New North Road, New Lynn, Auckland.
No. of Present members :160+ (Senior and Youth combined)
Meeting was started at 10.00am.
Shri Bharatbhai Parikh started meeting with his welcome speech and safety rules for the members.
Urmilaben and Ladies group sang a prayer.
There was 1 minute silence for Maori King late Kiingi Tuheitia Pootatau Te Wherowhero VII who was died at the age of 69 on .
Shri Kaushikbhai introduce newly elected 8 members of Executive committee and then entire new committee of 9 members. He also gave introduction of new Admin Committee members. One of the lady member raise her voice about 9 members only instead of 11 executuve members. Bharatbhai inform her that it will be discuss in a later part of the meeting.
Smt. Bhartiben Patel made a performance dance on Shri Ganesh Vandana @ Ganesh Chaturthi Utsav. All member were pleased and appreciate her dance.
Jasubhai sang a Bhajan beautifully.
Smt. Ranjana Gouri and Smt. Minaxiben Chauhan performed dance on Lord Krisna @ Krishna Janmashtmi utsav. All member enjoyed it and appreciate.
Shri Dilip Thakkar also sang beautifully a Bollywood song.
Samaj celebrated 50thMarriage Anniversary of Shri Nareshbhai Shah & Smt. Jyotsnaben Shah by offering them flower bouquet by Shri Dharmendrabhai Mehta.
80thBirthday of Smt. Kamlavati Harivadan celebrated by giving her shawl by Smt. Urmilaben Patel.
Birthday of 23 members whose birthday falls in the month of September were celebrated. Jasubhai sang a birthday song and all members joined it and enjoy.
Shri Bharatbhai Parikh announce some important information about opening of full fledge of Indian consulate at Mahatma Gandhi Centre, Eden Terrace, Auckland.
Narharibhai Patel Announce Kitchen arrangement and inform member that Tea and biscuits will be served in every meeting at 9.30am. He also announce that for this meeting, Tea and Biscuits sponsor by unknown member and Ladu also sponsor by Shri Ramanbhai Patel. He also inform that a separate table will be arrange now onwards in every meeting for disable members during lunch time.
Shri Ashokbhai Raval ask review of Bus yatra of various temples during Shravan Month. All Members show their satisfaction.
Shri Ashokbhai and Shri Chirag Tailor of youth wing inform about all arrangements made for Garba Night event at Mahatma Gandhi Centre on 13/9/2024 and advise member to join and make it successful event.
Shri Kaushikbhai(President) discuss and inform members about requirement of ratification process as advise by Election Officer and then he ask member whether members agree for ratification to accept Shri Vijaybhai Mody and Shri Kiritbhai Parikh as a executive committee members. More than 2/3 plus members has raised their hands and signed thereafter positively in favour of ratification of Shri Vijaybhai Modi and Shri Kiritbhai Parikh. Then Presidednt Shri Kaushikbhai call both these members and introduce them to the members. Both members have shown their gratitude towards members for their overwhelming response in favour of them.
Shri Kantibhai Patel share his information received during his meeting with police @Social cohesion meeting of last 2 month.
Shri Kiritbhai Thaker also deliver his statement for 30+ minutes about his objection for ratification process procedure and few members join with them.
Shri Bhikhubhai Patel chant Bhojan Mantra and then all members enjoyed lunch. The food comprise of Puri-undhiyu, Kadhi – pulav and Ladu as a sweet.
All members left hall around 1.30 pm
Cleaners has clean the utensils and make hall clean then committee members and volunteers left the hall at 2.00 pm after locking the hall.
