Minutes of Annual General meeting held on 6 January 2024

at New Lynn Friendship club hall,

3063 New North Road, New Lynn, Auckland.

First Half


  1. Meeting was started at 10.15am.

  2. Shri Bharatkumar Parikh started meeting with his welcome speech and safety rules for the members.

  3. Rasmikaben and Ladies group made a prayer.

  4. Kishorbhai Desai deliver insides of Veer Sahid Bhagatsinh life.

  5. Shri Purshottambhai Merai sang a song “ghunghru ki tarah bandhta hi raha hu mein”of film chor machaye shor.

  6. Guest artist singer Roma and Pooja Nori(Both sisters) sang 2 beautiful songs “O Palan Hara” film Lagaan and “Yahaa kadam kadam pe dharti badle rang” of film Fanaa.Both songs were sang very beautifully.

  7. Mr.KInrath of yuva wing sang beautiful Gujarati song from latest Gujarati album of 2023.

  8. Shri Dineshbhai U Shah sang a beautiful song.

  9. Smt. Champaben Patel chant ramayan and make Rammay mahol in the hall.

  10. Shri Dhansukhbhai sang a beautiful song.


Second Half


  1. Shri Kiritbhai Thaker deliver in his presidential speech advice members that award by Vaishvik Gujarati Sangthan Ahmedabad that Tulsibhai Patel and Yuva and senior members receive award on behalf of the samaj. All members welcome this with big claps. He also update the members about samaj activity and progress.

  2. Members enjoyed December Birthdays of 37 members.

  3. Induben Merai was honoured with a shawl by Smt. Varshaben Patel @ her 80th Birth Annevarsary.

  4. Shri Pratik Thakkar of yuva wing deliver very good speech with discussion on health topics/issue.

  5. Shri Vinay Mehta update members on kite festival mela which is schedule on 13/1/2024 at East Dale Reserve, Avondale and ask for members support by visiting this Mela.

  6. Shri Sunilbhai from 20/20 Trust update members about Chrome Book distribution and deliver participation certificate to the eligible members.


    7. Shri Kantibhai Patel accompany by Bharatbhai inform the members about upcoming picnic on 20/1/2024 at clevedon hall/Hunua falls.

    1. Shri Bharatbhai Parikh (secretary) discuss outcome of picnic at shelly beach/south head hall and thanks members for their support to make it successful.

    2. Bharatbhai convey his thanks to Kiritbhai and Vinaben Thaker for sponsorship of sweets and farsan. He also thanks Chandrikaben and Rasmikaben Patel for preparing sweets and farsan at their home. He also convey thanks for donation given by other members during the meeting.

    3. National Anthem was sing jointly by all members.


      Shri Bhikhubhai Patel chant Bhojan Mantra and then all members enjoyed lunch.The food comprise of Puri-Undhiyu-Bhat-Dall- Kachori and Dudhpak.


      All members left hall around 2.40 pm 


      Cleaners has clean the utensils and hall and committee members and volunteers left the hall at 2.30 pm after locking the hall.
