Minutes of Annual General meeting held on 6 April 2024

at New Lynn Friendship club hall,

3063 New North Road, New Lynn, Auckland.


No. of Present members :150+


First Half

  1. Meeting was started at 10.00am.
  2. Shri Bharatbhai Parikh started meeting with his welcome speech and safety rules for the members.
  3. Rasmikaben and Ladies group made a prayer.
  4. There was a 2 minute silence for late Shri Pratapbhai Masrani.
  5. Pragnaben Trivedi sang a Bollywood song on movie ‘Mukkadar ka Sikandar’.
  6. Young Little girl Janki Tailor perform solo dnce on movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’. Members enjoyed it well.
  7. Shri Dhansukhbhai sang beautifully a Bollywood song of movie’ Inamdar’.
  8. Samaj celebrated 50th Marriage Anniversary of Shri Jitubhai Patel & Smt. Varshaben Patel Shri Shantibhai Patel & Smt.Laxmiben Patel by giving flower bouquet.
  9. Birthday of members whose birthday falls in the month of April were celebrated. Jasubhai sang a birthday song and all members enjoyed.
  10. Invited guest Shri Shaileshbhai Prajapati announced his forthcoming Gujarati drama event ‘Rang gheli’
  11. Shri Jasubhai Patel sang a Bollywood song on movie ‘Parasmani’ and dedicated to his wife Smt. Urmilaben Patel
  12. Minaxiben Shah read Vanchan on Karma.
  13. Shri Kiritbhai &Vinaben Thakar sang a Bollywood song on movie ‘Dilli ka Thug’
  14. Ladies group (Rasmikaben Patel, Pragnaben Trivedi, Vandanaben Shukla, Kalpanaben Raval, Chandrikaben Patel and Diptiben Parikh) perform on lokgit folk song‘Bajra no Rotlo ne Khati Mithi Chaas’ @ forthcoming Gujarat Din very well. All members appreciate and enjoy the same.
  15. Taraben Patel sang a nice Bhajan ‘Ek pankhi aavi ne udi gayu, ek vaat saras samjavi gayu..’


      Second Half


      1. Shri Kiritbhai Thaker deliver his presidential speech and thanks members for their valuable support for his tenure as a president. He also advise members the future goals of Samaj.
      2. Shri Kiritbhai appreciate and convey thanks for donation given by other members during the meeting. He also thanks Ashokbhai Raval for sponsoring Dhokla and Mango pulp juice.
      3. Shri Kantibhai Patel share his information received during his meeting with police @Social cohesion meeting.
      4. Shri Dharmendrabhai Mehta and Shri Ashokbhai Raval inform the members about youth update and success of cricket camp.
      5. Shri Bharatbhai Parikh announce Election of Executive committee members for the year 2024-25 and 2025-26 and hand over the meeting to Election Officer Shri Chunibhai Mehta.
      6. Shri Chunibhai Mehta announce full election venue in details to the members and said Election will be held on 4th May 2024 after AGM. He also inform members that her daughter Kum. Kruti Mehta will contest election mand there may be conflict of interest arise hence he ask members opinion whether he should continue as a Election Officer or not. All most all members were agreed to accept him as a election officer.
      7. Shri Dilipbhai Thakkar and Shri Vijaybhai Modi raise few questions about youth wing participation in election. Shri Chunibhai Mehta and Shri Kiritbhai Thaker advised them that this is as per constitution of the Samaj and resolve the matter.
      8. Shri Chandrakant Thakkar chant Bhojan Mantra and then all members enjoyed lunch. The food comprise of Puri-punjabi mix shak, Bhat-Dall, Dhokla and Mango pulp juice.
      9. All members left hall around 2.30 pm


      Cleaners has clean the utensils and hall and committee members and volunteers left the hall at 3.30 pm after locking the hall.
