Minutes of General Meeting held on 04 January 2025 at Friendship Club, 3063, Great North Road, Newlynn, Auckland

Hall was beautifully decorated for the New Year on previous evening by Shri Ashokbhai Raval, Shri Vijaybhai Mody, Shri Kishorbhai Desai, SuShri Ranjana Gauri, SuShri Bhartiben Patel, SuShri Urmilaben Patel, Shri Jasubhai Patel & Shri Kaushik Kansara. Meeting commenced at 10.00 am after Tea & biscuits sponsored by a member through SuShri Bhartiben Patel.
Kaushik Kansara opened the meeting with his welcome speech and safety rules for the members. He thanked all the members of the decorative team for their hard work. Hall decoration was also appreciated by the members present.
SuShri Urmilaben Patel and Ladies group sang a prayer.
All the members observed One Minute Silence in respect of our very senior member late Shri Jyotendrabhai R. Shah.
Shri Kaushik Kansara announced about the forthcoming picnic on 11 January 2025 to HoraHora Domain. He also provided the details of our activities as well as of Youth wing. All the members whose Birthday is in January were invited by SuShri Bharatiben Patel near the stage. They were handed their Birthday cards by SuShri Meenaxiben & Shri Amratlal Champaneri. Shri Vinodbhai Sangani & members sang Birthday songs in chorus to wish them.
SuShri Urmilaben Patel & SuShri Bhartiben Patel were the compere for the entertainment programme today. To celebrate the Republic Day of India, Shri Jasubhai Patel sung a patriotic song. Shri Purshottambhai Merai also presented a Bollywood song. Shri Dineshbhai Shah sung one more Bollywood number. Shwetaben group member performed a dance sequence. Ashwin J. Patel sung a Gujarati Gazal. SuShri Kusumben Patel provided the details of good Gujarati literature. Melodious Bollywood songs were presented by our own artists like Shri Dineshbhai Sheth & Youth member Shri Manoj Chauhan. SuShri Shobhaben & Shri Vinodbhai Sangani presented lovely dance. Shri Jasubhai Patel presented hilarious acting on comedy song of Devang Patel. Overall programme was enjoyed by the members.
Kaushik Kansara acknowledged the excellent work by Hall setup team, Kitchen volunteers, Registration table managing volunteers, and other volunteers, dance performers & singers and above all the members for their encouraging support.
At 12.45 pm after the ‘Bhojan Mantra’ by Shri Bhikhubhai Patel delicious lunch was served to all. Ladu & Khaman were sponsored by Shri Surendrabhai Chauhan. It was appreciated by all.
Programme commenced & concluded right on time as per schedule, entertainment was good, food was delicious and sumptuous providing great satisfaction to the members.
