- Any person, He/She who belongs to a Gujarati descent can be a member of the Gujarati Samaj, New Zealand
- He/She must be a New Zealand Citizen/permanent resident
- A non Gujarati can be a member of the society who understands and can communicate in Gujarati, on request but not eligible to be an Executive committee member. However He/She will be eligible to vote.
- A non-member may participate in any of the society’s activities and the society will take steps to ensure all activities are accessible to non-Gujarati speakers.
